     88.  Elizabeth M.5 SAPP (Mary Apt4 Krouskop, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 27 April 1829 in Knox County, Ohio and died 4 June 1896 in Sigourney, Keokuk County, Iowa at age 67. She was buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sigourney.

     On 29 November 1853 in Logan County Elizabeth married Jacob R. HALL who was born 2 October 1830 in that county. In 1865 she, Jacob and their children moved to Keokuk County and settled near Springfield. They remained there for two years then went to German Township. Jacob, a farmer, was appointed steward of the county poor farm and remained in that position for 12 years. He died 18 December 1880 in Van Buren Township, Keokuk County at age 50, and was buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

     Known children of Elizabeth M.5 SAPP and Jacob R. HALL were as follows:

               247       i.    George W.6 HALL was born 17 November 1854 in Logan County, Ohio. He died in Keokuk County, Iowa. George married first Martha [--?--] and second Elizabeth SEABIN. He was a painter, according to the 1880 census.

               248      ii.    Alice M. HALL was born 2 June 1856 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio. She died 28 November 1934 in Sigourney, Keokuk County, Iowa at age 78, and was buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sigourney. She never married.

               249      iii.    Oliver S. HALL was born 14 November 1857 in Logan County, Ohio. He died in August 1898 in Keokuk County, Iowa at age 40.

               250     iv.    Frank Burr HALL was born 5 August 1860 in Logan County, Ohio. He died in 1929 in Keokuk County, Iowa at age 69, and was buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sigourney, Keokuk County. Frank never married.

               251      v.    William C. HALL was born 22 July 1863 in Logan County, Ohio and married 16 December 1885 in Lancaster, Keokuk County, Iowa Della A. ALLEN who was born circa 1866 in Iowa. The couple had a son Louis Grover, who was born in October 1887 in Iowa and died in that state 24 January 1908 at age 20. He married 31 October 1906 in Jefferson County, Iowa Hazel Alice COOP, the daughter of Jefferson Samuel and Mary E. (Funston) Coop, who was born in September 1889 in Iowa, and they had a son Elmer born in 1907 in Iowa. In the 1910 federal census Hazel, a widow, and son were with her parents in Yellowstone County, Montana. William died 19 August 1937 in Richland, Keokuk County at age 74.

               253    vii.    Charles Ellis HALL was born 11 April 1868 in Keokuk County, Iowa. He died 11 August 1870 in Keokuk County at age 2, and was buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sigourney, Keokuk County.

               254    viii.    Lucinda Ella HALL, known as Ella, was born 14 March 1871 in Keokuk County, Iowa. She died 15 September 1937 in South Gate, Los Angeles County, California at age 66. Ella married David Cheatham GARRETT 6 August 1890 in Delta, Keokuk County. He was born 2 September 1870 in Washington Township, Keokuk County and was the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Pence) Garrett of Kentucky. He died 27 July 1951 in Los Angeles County at age 80. Ella and David had a daughter Helen Elizabeth who was born 25 August 1899 in Keokuk County and died at age 94 on 28 May 1994 in Los Angeles County. She married first Charles A. STODDARD 15 November 1922 in Mahaska County, Iowa and second [--?--] PIERSON.

               255     ix.    Roy HALL was born in Keokuk County, Iowa and died in 1878 in that county. He was buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sigourney, Keokuk County.

 

     89.  Mary Jane5 SAPP (Mary Apt4 Krouskop, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 11 June 1832 in Mt. Vernon, Knox County, Ohio. She died of catarrh of the stomach 24 February 1905 in Springhills, Champaign County, Ohio at age 72, and was buried 26 February 1905 in Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Springhills. Mary was blind for a number of years before her death.

     Mary Jane married James Henry VANCE, the son of James and Mary (Wilkins) Vance, 25 November 1852 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio. James was born 14 May 1831 in Guernsey County, Ohio and died of Bright’s disease 9 May 1904 in Springhills at age 72. He was buried 11 May 1904 in Presbyterian Church Cemetery. James was described as 6 feet, one inch tall with a dark complexion, grey eyes and dark hair. He was at various times in his life a shoemaker, farmer and day laborer. James enlisted in the army in Bellefontaine on 14 February 1865 for one year and served in the Civil War as a private in Company I, 192nd Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He was honorably discharged 1 September 1865 in Winchester, Virginia. The reason for his discharge, as iterated in a Declaration for an Original Invalid Pension, was ‘From exposure and cold and hard service he contracted catarrh of head.  Also at same time and place contracted piles.  Now claims pension for said catarrh of head and disease of head and eyes, result of said catarrh of head.  Also at Winchester Virgnia about ? June 1865 from vaccination from impure virus he contracted blood poisoning and disease of left arm and loss of use of left thumb. Also disease of throat and stomach as result of catarrh, only partial loss of thumb.’

          +   260      v.    Olive C. VANCE, born 22 March 1868 in Harrison Township, Champaign County, Ohio; married Augustus W. SHELKETT; married James H. STOUT.

               261     vi.    Cora Alice VANCE was born 17 September 1872 in Harrison Township, Champaign County, Ohio and married Robert M. HUSTON 25 December 1888 in Champaign County.  Robert was born 19 January 1853 in Logan County, Ohio, the son of Andrew Carothers and Sarah Jane (McFarland) Huston. He appeared on the census of 1880 in Olathe Township, Johnson County, Kansas, enumerated as a nephew in the household of William C. Kenton and wife Deborah, both born in Ohio. In the 1900 federal census he was enumerated in Arvilla Township, Grand Forks County, North Dakota, a boarder in the County Hospital Poor Farm. His marital status was given as married 12 years, but Cora was not with him. In the World War I Draft Registration his nephew Joseph S. Shelkett listed his uncle Robert Huston as his nearest relative, residing in Lansford, Bottineau County, North Dakota. Joseph was in Benewah County, Idaho.

 

     92.  Francinah E.5 SAPP (Mary Apt4 Krouskop, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 16 October 1838 in Knox County, Ohio. She died of sepsis 9 June 1916 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio at age 77, and was buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery.

     Francinah married 12 September 1861 in Logan County John Jackson Painter COSTIN who was born 2 September 1839 in Middleburg, Logan County. The son of Samuel W. V. and Elizabeth (Painter) Costin, he died of acute carditis 27 March 1923 in Bellefontaine at age 83, and was buried 29 March 1923 in Bellefontaine Cemetery. John was a carpenter and later became a contractor and erected several structures in Bellefontaine, among which was the Brandon Block, located on West Columbus Street. He was also foreman of construction in the building of the Big Four Railroad shops.

               264      iii.    Frederick COSTIN was born 2 August 1867. He died 21 October 1867 in Logan County, Ohio, and was buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery, Lake Township, Logan County.

               266      v.    Mary Elizabeth COSTIN was born 14 January 1871. She died of arteriosclerosis 26 July 1943 in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio at age 72, and was buried 29 July 1943 in Bellefontaine Cemetery, Lake Township, Logan County, Ohio. On 20 November 1899 in Logan County Mary married Robert Clinton BRADEN, the son of Sinclair Clinton and Mary A. (Harrington) Braden, who was born 20 November 1879 in that county. The couple divorced between 1920 and 1930 in Logan County and Mary assumed her maiden name. Robert was a locomotive engineer and married second Marietta Wilson, the daughter of Charles E. and Emma E. (Edsel) Wilson, who was born in December 1895 in Shelby County, Indiana, and married first in 1911 Jesse Thomason and second in 1914 Morris Thein.

               267     vi.    Lura E. COSTIN was born in 1873 and died at age 7 in 1880 in Bellefontaine, Logan County , Ohio. She was buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery, Lake Township, Logan County.

     93.  John Franklin5 SAPP (Mary Apt4 Krouskop, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 8 February 1845 in Knox County, Ohio. He died of heart lesions and endocarditis 6 February 1922 in Logan County, Ohio at age 76, and was buried 8 February 1922 in Tharps Run Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Logan County. John served in the Civil War as a private in Company B, 132nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry from 15 May 1864 to 10 September 1864.

     On 16 September 1869 in Logan County John married Sidney Ann MCCOLLOCH, the daughter of George and Sophia (Mason) McColloch, who was born 26 October 1846 in Logan County. She died 29 June 1903 in that county at age 56, and was buried in Tharps Run Cemetery.

     Known children of John Franklin5 SAPP and Sidney Ann MCCOLLOCH, all born in Logan County , Ohio, were as follows:

               269       i.    George Oliver6 SAPP was born 2 November 1870. He died in 1954 in Logan County, Ohio and was buried in Tharps Run Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Logan County. George never married. The Sapp name in this line dies with George, as his brothers Burleigh Z., Robert A. and John S. appear to have been without male issue.

               270      ii.    Burleigh Zohar SAPP, a baker, was born 2 June 1872 and died 14 April 1903 in Logan County , Ohio at age 30. He was buried in Tharps Run Cemetery, Jefferson County, Logan County. Burleigh never married.

               272     iv.    Mary S. SAPP was born 2 December 1875. She died 6 September 1876 in Logan County, Ohio, and was buried in Tharps Run Cemetery, Jefferson County, Logan County, Ohio.

               273      v.    Robert A. SAPP was born 18 September 1877 and died of tuberculosis of the bowels 16 May 1913 in Liberty Township, Logan County, Ohio at age 35. He was buried 18 May 1913 in Tharps Run Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Logan County. Robert was a farmer and never married.

               274     vi.    Sollie D. E. SAPP was born 15 July 1881. He died 1 January 1884 in Logan County, Ohio at age 2, and was buried in Tharps Run Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Logan County.

               275    vii.    Katherine SAPP was born 11 March 1882 and died 23 November 1961 in that Logan County, Ohio at age 79. She was buried in Tharps Run Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Logan County. Katherine never married.

               276    viii.    Lydia I. SAPP was born 16 June 1886 and died 29 March 1907 in Logan County, Ohio at age 20. She was buried in Tharps Run Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Logan County.

 

     94.  Isaac5 CREVISTON (Elmira4 Krouskop, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 9 September 1830 in Logan County, Ohio. He died of angina pectoris 4 September 1912 in Jefferson Township, Logan County at age 81, and was buried 6 September 1912 in Mount Zion Cemetery, Jefferson Township.

     On 14 September 1852 in Logan County Isaac married Sophronia WINTZ. She was born 17 December 1829 in Culpepper County, Virginia and was the daughter of George and Katherine (Fisher) Wintz. Sophronia died of chronic interstitial nephritis 11 September 1910 in Jefferson Township at age 80, and was buried 13 September 1910 in Mount Zion Cemetery.

     Known children of Isaac5 CREVISTON and Sophronia Ann WINTZ, all born in Logan County , Ohio, were as follows:

               277       i.    Thomas W.6 CREVISTON was born circa 1853 and died 18 March 1885 in Liberty Township, Logan County, Ohio. He married 18 March 1877 in Logan County Rodah A. NEER, the daughter of George and Anna (Carnes) Neer, who was born 13 October 1847 in Logan County. She died of hemoplegia of the right side 25 January 1927 in Bellefontaine, Logan County at age 79, and was buried 28 January 1927 in Bellefontaine Cemetery. The couple had a son Charles S., born 9 January 1881 and died 22 December 1949 at age 68 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio; and a daughter Minnie Lee, born 13 February 1884 and died 23 January 1944 at age 59 in Logan County, who married Knowles L. WALLACE 23 November 1911. Rodah married second 22 May 1888 in Logan County Marion Vanica, the son of Henry and Rebecca (Autrian) Vanica, who was born 19 July 1844 in that county and died of apoplexy in Bellefontaine 24 February 1928 at age 84. He was buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery 26 February 1928.

               278      ii.    Elizabeth Decordova CREVISTON was born 17 December 1856. Known as Lizzie, she died of broncho pneumonia 8 May 1944 in Plain City, Madison County, Ohio at age 87, and was buried 10 May 1944 in Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City. On 20 May 1880 in Logan County Lizzie married James Robert FOUST, the son of Henry and Margaret (Yohn) Foust, who was born 1 January 1859 in Logan County and died of a coronary thrombosis 21 August 1936 in Plain City at age 77. James was buried 23 August 1936 in Forest Grove Cemetery. The couple had a daughter Iva G., born in January 1886 and died 25 October 1965 at age 79, who married Ernest W. DUNHAM 2 November 1910 in Madison County; and a son Howard Smith, born 15 May 1892, who married Effie L. CONVERSE 7 August 1916 in Madison County.

               281      v.    Charles Clayson CREVISTON was born 4 March 1863 and married Laura B. LEWIS 3 October 1889 in Logan County, Ohio. He died of cancer of the penis 8 December 1924 in Bellefontaine, Logan County at age 61, and was buried 10 December 1924 in Zanesfield Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Logan County. Laura, the daughter of John H. and Sarah J. (Pence) Lewis, was born 18 June 1870 in Ohio. She died 15 November 1948 in Bellefontaine at age 78, and was buried 18 November 1948 in Zanesfield Cemetery. The couple had no children.

               282     vi.    Clara Belle CREVISTON was born 1 January 1875. She died of uterine cancer 3 September 1919 in Plain City, Madison County, Ohio at age 44, and was buried 5 September 1919 in Mount Zion Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Logan County, Ohio. Clara never married.

 

     95.  Elvira5 CREVISTON (Elmira4 Krouskop, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 31 December 1833 in Logan County, Ohio. She died in 1906 in Logan County at age  was buried in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Logan County, Ohio.

     On 29 December 1859 in Logan County Elvira married William H. COCKRILL who was born 27 May 1830 in Virginia. He died of a pulmonary disorder 5 April 1920 in Bellefontaine, Logan County at age 89, and was buried 8 April 1920 in Fairview Cemetery. William was the son of Benjamin and Nancy (Thomas) Cockrill.

     Known children of Elvira5 CREVISTON and William H. COCKRILL, all born in Logan County , Ohio, were as follows:

               283       i.    Anna E.6 COCKRILL was born 26 August 1861. She died of uremia 23 May 1951 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio at age 89, and was buried 25 May 1951 in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Champaign County, Ohio. On 20 November 1884 in Logan County Anna married Albert WHITNEY, the son of James and Hannah (Pugh) Whitney. He was born 4 June 1858 in Logan County and died of chronic myocarditis in Bellefontaine 3 November 1933 at age 75. Albert was buried 5 November 1933 in Mount Tabor Cemetery. The couple’s known children, all born in Logan County, were James L., born 17 August 1885 and died in September 1947 at age 62; William Clarence, born 20 May 1887 and died in January 1976 at age 88 in Akron, Summit County, Ohio, who married Harriet A. VANCE 8 July 1914; Neva Florence, born 19 March 1889 and died in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia in March 1979 at age 90, who married Grover W. WILGUS 7 May 1913; Olive Blanche, born in December 1890; Ethel May, born in April 1892, who married Jacob W. SHAFFNER 13 September 1909 in Miami County, Ohio; and Ernest, born circa 1905, who married 15 July 1928 Bernice NOGLE.

               285      iii.    Lola COCKRILL, also called Viola, was born 5 November 1863. She died 14 December 1935 in West Liberty, Logan County, Ohio at age 72, and was buried 17 December 1935 in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Logan County. She married 30 May 1889 in Logan County John Henry BINTEMIRE who was born 28 July 1861 in Miami County, Ohio, the son of Harmon Henry and Hannah (Henke) Bintemire, and died of organic heart lesions 5 February 1944 in Fostoria, Seneca County, Ohio at age 82. He was buried in Fairview Cemetery 8 February 1944. Lola and John had a son Harmon Henry, born 26 June 1896 in Logan County and died of a coronary thrombosis onboard a train at Union Station in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio 21 June 1944 at age 47. He was buried 22 June 1944 in Fairview Cemetery. Harmon married Cecilia DRAKE and resided in Akron, Summit County, Ohio.

               286     iv.    Rebecca Frances COCKRILL, some times called Frances and Fannie, was born in 1866 and married John Warren ALEXANDER in Logan County, Ohio 26 January 1893. Also known as Warren, he was born 13 May 1853 in Ohio, the son of John H. and Lucinda (Inskeep) Alexander, and died of organic heart disease 29 June 1926 in Union Township, Logan County at age 73. He was buried 1 July 1926 in Bellefontaine Cemetery, Lake Township, Logan County. The couple had three sons: Walter C., born 22 October 1894, who married Julia CRANE 16 September 1916 in Marion County, Ohio; Elva Warren, born 13 December 1899 and died in August 1976 in Phoenix, Ma ricopa County, Arizona at age 76; and Robert E. born in 1909.

               287      v.    William Franklin COCKRILL was born 29 September 1867. He died of a coronary thrombosis 25 December 1948 in Liberty Township, Logan County, Ohio at age 81, and was buried 28 December 1948 in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Logan County.  William married 18 January 1893 in Logan County Rebecca Ellen SHAWVER, known as Ellen, the daughter of Daniel and Hannah (Foust) Shawver, who was born in 1867 in Logan County and died there in 1949 at age 82. She was buried in Fairview Cemetery.

               288     vi.    Genevah Alma COCKRILL was born 14 December 1870 and died of cervical and uterine cancer 8 December 1940 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio at age 69. She was buried 11 December 1940 in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Logan County. Jennie, as she was some times known, never married and was a practical nurse.

               289    vii.    Harry G. COCKRILL was born 4 August 1872 and died of uremia 4 October 1926 in Marion, Marion County, Ohio at age 54. He was buried 6 October 1926 in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Logan County, Ohio.  Harry married Mary Florence LARKIN 7 March 1900 in Logan County. She was born 14 September 1868 in Miami County, Ohio, the daughter of Peter and Falinda (Morris) Larkin, and died 31 January 1943 in Marion of a coronary thrombosis. Mary was buried 3 February 1943 in Fairview Cemetery. Her headstone gives her date of birth as 1872, but her death certificate has 1868 and she was enumerated in the 1870 census. Harry and Mary had no children.

               290    viii.    Carrie May COCKRILL was born 4 August 1872. She died 23 February 1950 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio at age 77, and was buried 25 February 1950 in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Logan County.  Carrie never married and was a practical nurse.

               291     ix.    Emma Cordelia COCKRILL was born in August 1874 and married Robert Morton HATLEY 3 December 1902 in Logan County, Ohio. He was born 11 July 1875 in Indiana, the son of Jasper and Adaline (Farmer) Hatley, and was often called Morton or Mort. The couple had a daughter Lois, born circa 1905; and a daughter Ruth, born circa 1907. Emma likely died between 1907 and 1912 and Robert married second Eva Vestal, the daughter of John A. and Melissa Vestal, who was born 21 December 1890 in Illinois. They resided in Clinton Township, Vermillion County, Indiana and had six known children. Robert died in January 1958 in Indiana at age 83 and Eva died in February 1976 at age 86 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.

               292      x.    Stanley M. COCKRILL was born 11 March 1879 and married Clara V. CARR 22 February 1899 in Logan County, Ohio. Clara, the daughter of John and Mary Ann (Frantz) Carr, was born 15 November 1880 in Ohio and died of kidney suppression 7 July 1923 in DeGraff, Logan County at age 42. Clara was buried 9 July 1923 in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Logan County. The couple had daughters Alice, born 25 August 1905, and Mary F., born 22 December 1906, who died before 1910; and a son William F., born circa 1908.

 

     96.  Joseph Newton5 CREVISTON (Elmira4 Krouskop, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) , also known as Newton, was born 13 February 1836 in Logan County, Ohio and died of lobar pneumonia 14 August 1906 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois at age 70. He was buried 16 August 1906 in Mount Hope Cemetery, Chicago.  A carpenter, Joseph married Elizabeth A. COPE 20 August 1861 in Logan County. She was born circa 1836 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Cope, and may have died 29 December 1906 in Chicago. Joseph and Elizabeth moved to Illinois circa 1883.

     Known children of Joseph Newton5 CREVISTON and Elizabeth A. COPE, all born in Logan County , Ohio, were as follows:

               293       i.    Estella E.6 CREVISTON was born 8 August 1862 and died in Logan County, Ohio 25 September 1863 at age 1.

               294      ii.    Lula G. CREVISTON was born 17 July 1864 and married Albert HEBERLING 14 April 1909 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.  Albert, the son of Ruben and Dena (Swain) Heberling, was born 9 September 1856 in Zelienople, Butler County, Pennsylvania. He died 22 December 1928 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois at age 72, and was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Chicago. Lula died 12 February 1940 in Chicago at age 75. The couple had no known children.

               295      iii.    William Earl CREVISTON, known commonly as Earl, was born circa 1869 in Logan County , Ohio. On 28 December 1899 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania he married Ida B. HARPER who was born in March 1871 in Pennsylvania. The couple resided in Ingram, Allegheny County and Earl was a stock clerk for an oil refining company. They had a son William Delos, born 21 February 1908 and died 10 June 1963 in Mishawaka, St. Joseph County, Indiana at age 55.

               296     iv.    Elizabeth A. CREVISTON was born 27 January 1872 and died 20 May 1935 at Chicago State Hospital, Cook County, Illinois at age 63. She never married.

               297      v.    DeLos Sprague CREVISTON was born 12 December 1876 and was also known as Harry Delos and Harry D. He married Mamie E.      George married 10 October 1872 in Logan County Margaret Ella DICKINSON, the daughter of Isaiah and Sarah Jane (Sutherland) Dickinson, who was born 27 November 1851 in Logan County. She died of dilatation of the heart 29 November 1919 in Marion, Marion County, Ohio at age 69, and was buried 2 December 1919 in Rushylvania Cemetery.

She died of a paralytic stroke 11 November 1912 in Rushcreek Township, Logan County at age 72, and was buried 13 November 1912 in Rushylvania Cemetery, Rushylvania, Logan County.

     Samuel, the son of Wade H. and Mary A. (Stephenson) Wren, was born 20 April 1843 in Ohio and died of organic disease of the heart 20 January 1912 in Rushcreek Township at age 68. He was buried 22 January 1912 in Rushylvania Cemetery.

He was buried 2 September 1927 in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Logan County.

     On 9 October 1878 in Logan County James married Rachel A. FORD, the daughter of Elisha and Mary (Clutter) Ford, who was born 20 January 1853 in Falmouth, Pendleton County, Kentucky. She died of an arteriosclerotic heart 4 April 1942 in Galion at age 89, and was buried 7 April 1942 in Fairview Cemetery.

Cassie, the daughter of Samuel and Luretta Mae (Pensha) Reams, was born 27 March 1885 in Logan County and died in 1972 in Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio at age 87. She was buried in Fairview Cemetery. The couple had daughters Ruth Marie, born 27 January 1909 in Bellefontaine, Logan County and died 19 April 1967 in Mansfield at age 58, who married and divorced Herbert CULP; and Mabel Lucille, born 30 November 1910 in Galion and died 23 October 1986 in Shelby, Richland County at age 75, who married Junior Clayton DENT in 1932.

               303      ii.    Mary A. HENRY was born in October 1882 and died 1 August 1960 in Ohio at age 77. She was buried in York Cemetery, York Center, Union County, Ohio.  On 12 February 1902 in Logan County, Ohio Mary married William Alva PHELPS, the son of Derastus J. and Mary Jane (Seran) Phelps, who was born 6 July 1876 in Union County. He died 25 November 1947 in Ohio at age 71, and was buried in York Cemetery. The couple had children Kenneth H., born circa 1905; Pauline M., born circa 1908; Ilo K., born circa 1912; and Kathryn Mildred, born circa 1917, all in Union County.

               304      iii.    James Thomas HENRY was born 2 September 1884. He died of a coronary thrombosis 5 December 1946 in Galion, Crawford County, Ohio at age 62, and was buried 7 December 1946 in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Logan County. James married Bertha May GARLING, the daughter of William H. and Margaret M. (Amos) Garling, 27 September 1911 in Logan County. Bertha was born 25 December 1891 in Logan County and died of acute pulmonary tuberculosis in Bellefontaine, Logan County 15 March 1913 at age 21. She was buried 17 March 1913 in Fairview Cemetery. The couple had a daughter Mary, born in 1913, who married Herbert RETTIG, the son of Adam and Carrie (Hopkins) Rettig. He was born 23 September 1899 and died in August 1969 in Crawford County, Ohio at age 69.

               305     iv.    William H. HENRY was born 13 April 1888 and died 8 September 1891 in Logan County, Ohio at age 3. He was buried in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Logan County.

     108.  Zoar B.5 HENRY (Sarah Ann4 Krouskop, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 29 June 1853 in Logan County, Ohio. He died 16 June 1936 in Monroe Township, Logan County at age 82, and was buried 18 June 1936 in Huntsville Cemetery, McArthur Township, Logan County.

    Zoar had four known marriages. He married first 22 November 1876 in Logan County Mary E. SHORT, the daughter of Abraham and Martha (Denson) Short. She was born in 1856 in Monroe Township, Logan County and died there 17 December 1885 at age 29. Zoar married second Elizabeth E. LINTZ 17 October 1886. Her date of birth and parents are not known, but she and Zoar divorced 17 June 1896 in Logan County. On 25 November 1896 Zoar married third Nancy E. WILLOBY, the daughter of James and Rachel (Collins) Willoby, who was born 19 May 1858 in Logan County. Nancy died of chronic pulmonary tuberculosis 19 May 1927 at age 69, and was buried 21 May 1927 in Huntsville Cemetery. Zoar was enumerated as widowed in the 1930 federal census, but his 1936 death certificate gave his marital status as divorced and his former wife's name as Catherine Henry. Their date of marriage is not known.

               307       i.    Linnie Belle6 HENRY was born 5 April 1878 in Logan County, Ohio and had three known marriages. On 1 February 1899 in Logan County she married first Charles R. SMITH, the son of Calvin C. and Elizabeth (Feigley) Smith, who was born in April 1975. The couple divorced and she married second Parl Emery BROWN 20 June 1912 in Logan County. He was born 13 September 1886 in that county and was the son of Henry and Nancy (Underwood) Brown. Linnie and Parl divorced and she married third Joseph Ira VAN KIRK, the son of John L., and Sarah J. (Means) Van Kirk, a blacksmith, who was born 19 July 1881 in DeGraff, Logan County and died of acute myocarditis in Bellefontaine, Logan County 22 July 1944 at age 63. He was buried 25 July 1944 in Huntsville Cemetery, McArthur Township, Logan County. Joseph was married previously 4 May 1905 to Ethel Mikel.

On 24 December 1912 in Paulding County, Ohio Ralph married Edythe A. FRIEND, the daughter of Samuel and Nancy (Filley) Friend, who was born 5 March 1886 in Paulding County. She died instantly of an acute attack of angina pectoris 13 May 1942 in Bellefontaine, Logan County at age 56, and was buried 16 May 1942 in Huntsville Cemetery. The couple had children Leonard Nolan, born 26 September 1914 and died 29 December 1987 in Ohio at age 73; Donald E., born 12 July 1916 and died in November 1986 in Ohio at age 70; Alfreda M., born 14 July 1919 and died 4 March 2003 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois at age 83; Carl; Alberta; and Phyllis A.

               310      ii.    William Harrison HENRY was born 5 December 1895 and died in June 1971 in Ohio at age 75. He was buried in Huntsville Cemetery, McArthur Township, Logan County, Ohio. William married 21 June 1922 in Logan County Anna Marie SINE, the daughter of Hanson M. and Lilly C. (Tennant) Sine. She was born 31 March 1900 in Monongalia County, West Virginia and died of liver and colon cancer 6 February 1943 in Lake Township, Logan County at age 42. Anna was buried 9 February 1943 in Huntsville Cemetery. The couple had children William K.; Burl H.; Marion; Robert; and Betty.

She was born 17 August 1902 in Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Eliza (Wright) Holt, and died in October 1978 in Logan County at age 76. Nora was buried in Huntsville Cemetery. The couple had sons Charles W., known as Jake, born 2 July 1923 in Logan County and died in November 1982 at age 59, who was buried in Huntsville Cemetery; William; and Howard.

     George was born circa 1842 in Ohio and died between 1880 and 1900 in Hardin County, Ohio. In the 1870 federal census Sarah, George and family were enumerated in Ottawa Township, Allen County, Ohio. By 1880 they were in Ada, Hardin County.

     On 22 January 1863 in Union County Mary married George W. SPEESE who was born in 1839 in Ohio and died in 1878 in Union County at age 39. He was buried in Byhalia Cemetery. George served in the Civil War, enlisting in Company B, 174th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry 18 August 1864 and mustering out 28 June 1865 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

    Jacob married first R. Jane HENDRIX 23 October 1866 in Union County, Ohio. She died 24 October 1867 in that county and would have been born 13 May 1842 if the Byhalia Cemetery, Union County transcription giving her age at death of 25 years, 5 months and 11 days is correct.

      Circa 1870 Jacob married second Anna Eliza FOUT, known as Eliza, who was born 18 January 1840 in Scioto County, Ohio, the daughter of William and Sally (Bolen) Fout. She died 8 April 1924 in Miami Township, Logan County at age 84, and was buried in Fairview Cemetery.

William married in Goodland 24 January 1904 Grace Amelia ROTH, the daughter of Alfred Samuel and Harriet F. (Farmer) Roth, who was born in 1887 in Iowa. and they had a son Lawrence Roth, born in 1909 in Goodland. After William died Grace married second Marvin Welborn Bicknell 27 September 1911 in Kansas. Marvin, a baker, was born in 1871 in Indiana and had been married previously.  He, Grace and Grace’s son Lawrence, who took the surname Bicknell, resided in Norton, Norton County, Kansas. It was there Marvin died in 1934 at age 63. Grace died there 27 June 1948 at age 61. Both were buried in Goodland Cemetery. Lawrence Roth Bicknell married Thora Helen EDSON 14 March 1927 in Norton County. She was born in Stockton Township, Rooks County, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph W. and Bertha M. Edson. Lawrence died 30 July 1947 at age 38 in Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas. He was buried in Norton Cemetery.

               322      iii.    Emma Leona KROUSKOP was born 15 January 1881 and died 18 October 1975 at age 94 in Marion County, Florida. On 11 June 1902 in Champaign County, Ohio she married Arthur Lennie HOLYCROSS, the son of Robert Coleman and Mary Estella (Cooksey) Holycross. He was born 18 November 1875 in Union County, Ohio and died 8 April 1963 in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio at age 87. Arthur was buried in Ferncliff Cemetery in Springfield. The couple had daughters Dorothy and Ruth who died before 1910, and a daughter Helen M., born in 1910 in Union Township, Logan County, Ohio.

 

     114.  Zachary Taylor5 KROUSKOP (John F.4, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 16 May 1848 in Logan County, Ohio. He died 31 August 1938 in Belle Center, Richland Township, Logan County at age 90, and was buried 2 September 1938 in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.

     Zachary married first 12 January 1870 in Logan County Jennie Rice CARTER who was born in 1853 in Miami Township, Logan County, the daughter of Isaac and Phila (Cornele) Carter. She died in November 1880 in Union County, Ohio at age 27, and was buried in Byhalia Cemetery, Washington Township, Union County.

      On 22 November 1882 in Shelby County, Ohio Zachary married second Mary Jeanette ‘Nettie’ ROYER, the daughter of Israel and Eliza (Collins) Royer, who was born 3 April 1848 in Logan County and died of a bowel obstruction 3 September 1913 in Bellefontaine, Logan County at age 65. She was buried 5 September 1913 in Byhalia Cemetery.

She was buried 11 March 1932 in Bellfontaine Cemetery. Jennie married 30 June 1910 in Logan County Earl BISHOP, the son of Samuel and Malinda (Faust) Bishop, who was born 30 September 1887 in Logan County. Earl, a blacksmith and a switchman for the railroad, died of crushing injuries sustained in a railway accident 12 September 1928 in Logan County at age 40. He was buried 14 September 1928 in Bellefontaine Cemetery. The couple had a daughter Frances Gaynelle, also known as Gaynelle, who was born circa 1912 in Logan County.

               328      iii.    James Harrison KROUSKOP was born 24 July 1891 according to his death certificate, and 24 July 1890 according to both the World War I and World War II draft registrations. He married Laura Vena KEMPER, known as Vena, 22 September 1913 in Logan County, Ohio. She was born 23 March 1894 in Logan County, the daughter of Thomas and Iva Ann (Kelly) Kemper. In the 1930 federal census James was enumerated as a porter in a hotel in Sidney, Shelby County, Ohio and his marital status was given as widowed. By 1940 he was a resident in the Shelby County Home and it was there he died of a cerebral thrombosis 23 September 1953 at age 62. James was buried in the Shelby County Home Cemetery.

 

     116.  John B.5 KROUSKOP (John F.4, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 13 October 1852 in Logan County, Ohio. He died of Bright’s disease 20 December 1921 in Washington Township, Union County, Ohio at age 69, and was buried 22 December 1921 in Byhalia Cemetery, Washington Township.

     John married first 30 September 1875 in Logan County Westline CLAPSADDLE, the daughter of James and Rachel Clapsaddle, who was born in 1854 in Ohio and died 18 March 1879 at age 25 in Washington Township. The couple had an infant son who died 26 June 1877, age 12 days, and was buried in Byhalia Cemetery, as was Westline.

     On 19 January 1882 John married second Laura B. PETERSON. She was born 12 November 1861 in West Mansfield, Union County, the daughter of Robert and Matilda (Perkins) Peterson. She died 20 March 1949 in Ohio at age 87, and was buried 22 March 1949 in Byhalia Cemetery.

Effie married first 30 October 1913 in Marysville, Union County John Marshall DRAKE, Jr., the son of John Marshall, Sr., and Lydia (Sharp) Drake. His sister Eva May was the first wife of John William Hammer who was the second husband of Effie’s sister Louella Krouskop (see #329 below). John Marshall, Jr., was born 15 April 1885 in Byhalia and died 14 November 1951 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio at age 66. He was buried 17 November 1951 in Byhalia Cemetery. Effie and John had a daughter Dorothy Irene, born 24 February 1919 in Byhalia, who married Lester R. SHELDON, born circa 1910 in Ohio. Dorothy died 16 November 1954 in Miami, Dade County, Florida at age 35, and was buried in Byhalia Cemetery. Effie married second circa 1958 Ray BLUE.

               333      v.    Ethyl KROUSKOP was born in June 1895 and married Hayse Lauren ROGERS 8 July 1914 in Union County , Ohio. She died 14 January 1960 in Marion County, Ohio at age 64. Hayse was born 15 February 1892 in Byhalia, Union County, the son of James R. and Eleanor B. (Lillie) Rogers. He died 10 October 1959 in Marion County at age 67. The couple had a daughter Martha Jane.

               334     vi.    Cora Leota KROUSKOP, also known as Leota, was born 11 January 1899 and died 2 March 1920 in Byhalia, Union County, Ohio at age 21. The cause of death was puerperal septicemia probably contracted during childbirth. She was buried 4 March 1920 in Byhalia Cemetery. On 30 May 1919 in Union County Cora Leota married Zenis Barzillai MCLEAN, the son of Barzillai O. and Ruth Adaline (Burris) McLean. He was born 15 October 1897 in Kansas and died 5 October 1962 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio at age 64. Zenis married second 7 March 1922 in Union County Viola Adelle Rinehart, the daughter of Lawrence Elmer and Mary (Ward) Rinehart, who was born 17 July 1894 in Union County. She was married previously to Joseph Dockum 28 August 1913 in that county. Adelle, as she was also known, died in Marion County, Ohio 29 February 1936 at age 41, and was buried in Oakdale Cemetery, Marysville, Union County. Zenis married third Gertrude [--?--] and resided in Marion, Marion County.

 

     119.  Sarah E.5 KROUSKOP (Richard4, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born in February 1857 in Lake Township, Logan County, Ohio and married Benjamin Hoofe KEPNER 20 July 1879 in Allen County, Ohio. She died in 1902 in Allen County at age 45, and was buried in Auglaize Cemetery, Auglaize Township, Allen County.

     Benjamin, the son of William Thompson and Caroline (Mayer) Kepner, was born 22 December 1857 in Perry County, Pennsylvania. After Sarah died he married Carolyn Edith Bradley 9 October 1905 in Lucas County, Ohio. The daughter of Charles and Jennie  (Wilkins) Bradley, she was born 16 March 1870 in Michigan. Carolyn died of a cerebral hemorrhage 25 September 1944 in Alger, Hardin County, Ohio at age 74, and was buried 27 September 1944 in Preston Cemetery in Alger. Benjamin died of arteriosclerosis 30 April 1945 in Pleasant Township, Hardin County, and was buried 2 May 1945 in Preston Cemetery.

CUNNINGHAM who was born circa 1898 in England and was the daughter of Edward and Florence A. Cunningham. In the 1930 federal census Ernest and Florence lived with her parents in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California. Either Florence died or they divorced and Ernest married second Annetta [--?--] who was born circa 1891 in Massachusetts. The couple lived in Los Angeles in 1940. In the World War II draft registration of 1942, Ernest listed as his employer RKO Studio in Hollywood.

 

     123.  George Samuel5 KROUSKOP (William Thomas4, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 27 October 1857 in Logan County, Ohio and married Sarah Catherine INGLEDUE 6 March 1890 in that county. He died of a heart attack 25 July 1936 in Allen County, Ohio at age 78, and was buried in Auglaize Cemetery, Auglaize Township, Allen County.

     Sarah, the daughter of Levi and Judith Emily (Parrett) Ingledue, was born 22 December 1872 in Fayette County, Ohio and died 16 September 1958 in Lima, Allen County at age 85. She was buried in Auglaize Cemetery.

               338       i.    Lester Earl6 KROUSKOP was born 17 August 1892 and died of pulmonary tuberculosis 16 April 1916 in Auglaize Township, Allen County, Ohio at age 23. He was buried 18 April 1916 in Auglaize Cemetery, Auglaize Township. Lester had a son Richard Maurice, born 7 June 1916 in Lima, Allen County and died 16 September 1964 in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan at age 48. In the 1930 census for Alger, Hardin County, Ohio Richard was enumerated as stepson to Ray Ewing, born circa 1886, whose wife was Zoah, born circa 1894. Richard married Clara Louise BAYER, born 30 December 1916 and died in Kent County 11 February 1994 at age 77, and they had sons Richard William, Bruce Allen and Andrew John, born 2 August 1952 and died 15 September 1975 in Grand Rapids.

               340      iii.    Ralph Emerson KROUSKOP was born 8 August 1904 and died 6 June 1994 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio at age 89. He married Mary Madge KINNEY who was born 14 June 1918 and died 19 September 2004 in Ohio at age 86. She was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima. The couple had sons Dale Edward; David Lowell; Phillip George; and Paul Ervin who was born 25 August 1937 in Lima and died there 19 August 2009 at age 71. He was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery. Paul married Beverly J. MORT.

               341     iv.    Lloyd George KROUSKOP was born 2 July 1907 and died 17 January 1986 in Allen County, Ohio at age 78.  He married 12 September 1934 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio Mary Rema BURRELL, known as Rema, who was born 10 May 1911 in Hancock County, Ohio, the daughter of John and Ina (Russell) Burrell, and died 3 May 2004 in Allen County at age 92.

 

     124.  Amanda J.5 KROUSKOP (William Thomas4, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born in November 1861 in Logan County, Ohio and died of typhus 15 October 1910 in Bellefontaine, Logan County at age 48. She was buried 17 October 1910 in Mount Zion Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Logan County.

     On 20 July 1882 in Bellefontaine Amanda married George Washington GODWIN who was born 20 December 1860 in Ross County, Ohio, the son of John W. and Mary Ann (Barber) Godwin. He died 14 December 1945 in Harrison Township, Champaign County, Ohio at age 84, and was buried 17 December 1945 in Huntsville Cemetery, McArthur Township, Logan County. George was a stationary engineer and at the time of death was a widower of Mary Ann, surname unknown.

               342       i.    Roland R.6 GODWIN, known as Rollie, was born 30 April 1885 and died 7 March 1965 in Logan County, Ohio at age 79. On 23 February 1907 in Logan County he married Ida B. DEAR, the daughter of Martin Lawrence and Sarah Ellen (Plummer) Dear. She was born in June 1890 in Logan County and died in 1975 at age 85. Both Rollie and Ida were buried in Huntsville Cemetery, McArthur Township, Logan County. The couple had a daughter Mildred and a daughter Thelma who married Jess W. YATES.

               343      ii.    Raymond Harrison GODWIN was born 25 October 1893 and died 13 September 1963 in Logan County , Ohio at age 69. He married circa 1921 in Ohio Betty E. ADAMS who was born in 1903 and died in 1934 at age 31. Both were buried in Huntsville Cemetery, McArthur Township, Logan County. The couple had nine children, six of whom died as infants or toddlers. Their known children were Helen L.; Dorothy M.; Donna Faye, born 15 February 1925 and died of inanition and malnutrition 15 March 1925, who was buried in Mount Zion Cemetery, Logan County; Clarence Edward, born 19 December 1927 and died 26 April 1996 at age 68 in Winnebago County, Wisconsin; Teddy Richard, born 9 December 1928 and died of hypostatic congestion of both lungs 26 December 1928, who was buried in Mount Zion Cemetery; Thelma J., born 6 February 1930 and died of broncho-pneumonia 29 November 1932 at age 2, who was buried in Huntsville Cemetery; Betty, born 27 March 1931 and died of chronic food intolerance 10 August 1931, who was buried in Huntsville Cemetery; and Pearl Etta, born 20 February 1932 and died of whooping cough 14 November 1932, who was buried in Huntsville Cemetery.

               344      iii.    Harry Dowl GODWIN was born 25 May 1895 and died 3 June 1957 in Ohio at age 62. He was buried in Huntsville Cemetery, McArthur Township, Logan County, Ohio. On 5 March 1918 Harry married Ethel Grace WALLACE who was born 20 March 1896 in Logan County, the daughter of Albert Wellington and Emma (Shumate) Wallace. She died of a coronary thrombosis 28 March 1948 in Rushylvania, Logan County at age 52, and was buried 31 March 1948 in Huntsville Cemetery. The couple had children Waunita F., Lois, Josephine, Barbara Jean, Nora Lee, Charles Dean, and Floyd. In the 1930 federal census Harry was enumerated in Bellefontaine in the household of his sister Nellie Rumery while his wife and children were with her parents in Jefferson Township, Logan County.

               345     iv.    Walter West GODWIN was born 29 December 1899. He was missing two fingers from his right hand and had broken his right shoulder and right leg, according to his World War I draft registration record. Walter married 24 May 1917 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio Florence Hazel HISER, the daughter of Oran M. and Della (Rhoades) Hiser, who was born in January 1900 in Columbus. Florence died 7 November 1964 in Adams County, Ohio at age 68, and Walter died there 13 March 1984 at age 84.Their known children were Walter West, Jr., Robert A., and Joseph.

               346      v.    Nellie L. GODWIN was born 2 February 1902 and married first Harry CROSS 4 May 1920 in Logan County. He was born 4 July 1889 in Rushylvania, Logan County, the son of Alonzo and Nancy (Collins) Cross. The couple divorced and she married second 8 May 1923 in Logan County Arthur Burton RUMERY, the son of William and Mary (Brown) Rumery, who was born in 1900 in Toledo, Lucas County Ohio. Either Nellie and Arthur divorced or she died as he married 8 June 1934 in Logan County Mary Mabel Haydon, who was born in 1894 and died in 1974 at age 80. Arthur died 26 April 1983 in Bellefontaine, Logan County at age 82, and was buried in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty, Logan County.

 

     125.  William Thomas5 KROUSKOP, Jr., (William Thomas4, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 10 January 1863 in Logan County, Ohio. He died there 7 April 1907 at age 44, and was buried in Mount Zion Cemetery, Zanesfield, Logan County.

     On 25 October 1890 in Allen County, Ohio William married Lulu LEATHERMAN, the daughter of Thomas Peter and Clara C. ‘Clarissa’ (Jaggers) Leatherman, who was born 11 July 1869 in that county. She died 14 September 1893 in Logan County at age 24.

      William married second 25 November 1896 in Bellefontaine, Logan County Margaret GUTHRIE who was born 16 March 1872 in Jefferson Township, Logan County. The daughter of Thomas and Rebecca (Clapper) Guthrie, she died 18 October 1950 in Monroe Township, Logan County at age 78, and was buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery. After William died Margaret married second Joseph Jackson 15 December 1915.

The cause of death was influenza and stasis of the bowels due to a pelvic injury he suffered 10 years previously and from which he never recovered. He was buried 12 May 1939 in Roundhead Cemetery, Hardin County, Ohio. Hugh married 8 August 1924 in Monroe County, Michigan Mary E. WHIPP, the daughter of Edwin Alpheus and Jennie D. (Arbegast) Whipp, who was born 28 January 1904 in Hardin County and died 13 July 1997 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio at age 93. The couple had a daughter Margaret.

               351      ii.    William Thomas KROUSKOP III was born 15 April 1900. He died in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio 18 March 1966 at age 65, and was buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery. William married Pansy Mae CARTER 31 December 1921 in Bellefontaine. She was born in that city 11 May 1901, the daughter of Marion Scarff and Nora Ethel (Fanshear) Carter, and died 14 May 1978 in Houston, Harris County, Texas at age 77. Pansy was buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery. The couple had a son Ned Carter, born 14 October 1922 in Bellefontaine, who married Constance Asenath BARROWS and died 18 May 1977 at age 54 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

               352      iii.    Robert Amos KROUSKOP was born 12 July 1904 and died in 1907 in Jefferson Township, Logan County, Ohio at age 3.  He was buried in Mount Zion Cemetery, Zanesfield, Logan County.

 

     127.  John Robert5 KROUSKOP (William Thomas4, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 14 May 1872 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio. He died 1 November 1959 in Russells Point, Logan County, Ohio at age 87, and was buried 3 November 1959 in Huntsville Cemetery, McArthur Township, Logan County. John owned and operated the Krouskop Tourist Court in Russells Point. His son Herman bought the business from him and operated it until his death in 1952.

     John married 9 September 1896 in Ohio Evalena BAYLESS, the daughter of Lemuel and Martha Jane (Craig) Bayless, who was born 2 May 1870 in Champaign County, Ohio and died 24 August 1962 in Russells Point at age 92. She was buried in Huntsville Cemetery.

               354       i.    Herman Robert6 KROUSKOP was born 28 May 1897 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio and died 23 November 1952 in Russells Point, Logan County at age 55. At the time of death he operated the Krouskop Tour ist Court which he purchased from his father. Herman was buried in Huntsville Cemetery, McArthur Township, Logan County. On 7 March 1923 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio Herman married Nellie Mildred WOLFE, the daughter of Charles Frederick and Mary Belle (Frisch) Wolfe, who was born 7 March 1905 in Shelby, Richland County, Ohio. She died 17 November 1967 in Russells Point at age 62, and was buried in Huntsville Cemetery. The couple had a son Charles Frederick who married Eunice Alene CARY 6 April 1946 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky.

               355      ii.    Lillian Jane KROUSKOP was born 19 November 1898 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio and married Jack Rexford BEATLEY 1 March 1930 in Bellefontaine. She died 26 June 1993 in that city at age 94, and was buried in Huntsville Cemetery, McArthur Township, Logan County. Jack was born 4 October 1889 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, the son of Dr. Frank and Clara (Hull) Beatley. He died of a coronary occlusion 18 January 1945 in Bellefontaine at age 55, and was buried 21 January 1945 in Huntsville Cemetery. Jack began the Beatley Hotel Resort in Russells Point in 1921. His widow continued to operate the resort until 1972 when it was razed to make way for the Holiday Harbor Mobile Home Park. The couple had a son Jack Rexford II born 25 September 1932 and died in Ohio 12 April 2010 at age 77.

               357     iv.    Mary Bertha KROUSKOP was born 3 February 1902 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio and died 25 September 1999 in Logan County, Ohio at age 97.  She was post mistress of Russells Point, Logan County. On 18 October 1923 in Bellefontaine Mary married David Fay CRAIG, the son of Alonzo and Lillian (Leveck) Craig, who was born 8 September 1897 in Rushsylvania, Logan County. He died at age 46 on 12 December 1943 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio of injuries sustained when his automobile was struck by a train at a crossing. Fay, as he was called, was buried 15 December 1943 in Huntsville Cemetery, McArthur Township, Logan County, Ohio.

               358      v.    Gail Morgan KROUSKOP was born 29 June 1904 in Logan County, Ohio and married Betty Jane LYVERS 22 November 1938 in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky. He died 7 August 1965 in Logan County at age 61, and was buried in Huntsville Cemetery, McArthur Township, Logan County.  Betty was born 22 March 1906 in Kentucky and died in April 1982 in Fort Myers, Lee County, Florida at age 76.

               360    vii.    Martha Lucille KROUSKOP was born 7 August 1908 in Logan County, Ohio and married Dr. George Boldis IMHOFF 6 April 1933 in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky. She attended nursing school at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio where she met George who was interning at the time. He was born 5 April 1898 in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio, the son of John and Elizabeth (Surbreck) Imhoff. George died 15 December 1981 in Knox County, Ohio at age 83, and was buried 18 December 1981 in Mound View Cemetery, Knox County. Martha died in July 1985 in Knox County at age 76, and was buried in Mound View Cemetery. The couple had three daughters.

     130.  Laura Mae5 KROUSKOP (William Thomas4, George3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 1 June 1879 in Logan County, Ohio. She died 3 October 1949 in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana at age 70, and was buried in Adamsville Cemetery, Cass County, Michigan.

     Laura married 7 June 1898 in Bellefontaine, Logan County John Guy WINDSOR who was born 6 July 1875 in Worthington, Franklin County, Ohio, the son of Reverend Anthony Horace and Mary E. (Spencer) Windsor. He died 19 May 1950 in Elkhart at age 74, and was buried in Adamsville Cemetery.

     Known children of Laura Mae5 KROUSKOP and John Guy WINDSOR were as follows:

               362       i.    Ralph Anthony6 WINDSOR was born 8 August 1899 in Bellefontaine, Logan County , Ohio. He died 11 March 1967 in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana at age 67, and was buried 13 March 1967 in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart County. Ralph married Maggie Florence GANS, the daughter of Samuel S. and Sarah A. (Mock) Gans,10 May 1919 in Elkhart. She was born in 8 September 1899 in Tippecanoe Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana and died 18 June 1996 in Elkhart at age 96. The couple had twin sons Richard Lamar, born 9 December 1919 and died 4 October 2011 in Elkhart at age 91, and Clifford Devaughn, born 9 December 1919 and died 4 January 2010 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia at age 90; son Ralph Everett; and daughter Bessie Irene, born 21 June 1929 and died 8 June 1982 in Elkhart at age 52, who married Harold L. KEIM.

               363      ii.    Gertrude Marie WINDSOR was born 5 July 1901 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio and died 10 January 1979 in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana at age 77. She was buried in Adamsville Cemetery, Cass County, Michigan. Gertrude never married.

               364      iii.    Katherine Lucille WINDSOR was born 12 January 1908 in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. She died 22 July 1968 in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana at age 60, and was buried 25 July 1968 in Adamsville Cemetery, Cass County, Michigan. Katherine married 8 June 1929 in Elkhart County Verner M. BERGERSON, the son of Bernard and Alvilda (Olson) Bergerson. He was born 16 June 1904 in Elkhart County and died there in July 1985 at age 81. Verner was buried in Adamsville Cemetery. The couple had a son Vernon Leroy and daughter Mary Frances.

               365     iv.    Florence Phoebe WINDSOR was born 21 June 1911 in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana and died there 12 July 1912 at age 1. She was buried 14 July 1912 in Elkhart Cemetery.

               366      v.    Mildred Lou WINDSOR was born 13 January 1915 in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana and died 19 December 1998 at age 83. She was buried in Adamsville Cemetery, Cass County, Michigan. Mildred never married.

               367     vi.    Helen Maude WINDSOR was born 28 March 1917 in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana and married Lawrence Henry THOMAS II 23 August 1938 in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. The son of Lawrence Henry I and Virginia (Hammesfahr) Thomas, he was born 2 May 1919 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Lawrence died 5 April 1973 in South Bend at age 53, and was buried in Adamsville Cemetery, Cass County, Michigan. Helen died 1 August 2005 in Edwardsburg, Cass County at age 88, and was buried 5 August 2005 in Adamsville Cemetery. The couple had sons Thomas Tad and Lawrence Michael.

 

     163.  Margaret A.5 GILLILAND (Nathan4, Sarah3 Krouskop, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 20 December 1844 in Ohio. She died 9 October 1925 in Jackson County, Ohio at age 80, and was buried in Fairmount Cemete ry, Lick Township, Jackson County.

     On 4 July 1865 in Scioto County, Ohio Margaret married first Jacob W. SLAVENS who was born 3 September 1838 in Pike County, Ohio. He was the son of Charles and Margaret (McClure) Slavens and brother to John who married his wife’s sister Sarah Gilliland (see #164 above). Jacob died 23 October 1873 in Scioto County, Ohio at age 35, and was buried in Slavens Cemetery, Pike County.

      Margaret married second 23 October 1883 in Scioto County Francis Marion DEVER, the son of Solomon and Chloe (Mault) Dever, who was born 17 March 1843 in Hamilton Township, Jackson County. Francis was married previously 29 September 1868 in Scioto County to Margaret J. Neary, the daughter of Mathew and Sarah Ann (VanGorder) Neary, but they divorced and she married second Asa Ellsworth White 5 February 1886. Francis died 25 December 1919 in Jackson County at age 76, and was buried in Fairmount Cemetery

     Known child of Margaret A.5 GILLILAND and Jacob W. SLAVENS was:

               368       i.    Charles Stewart6 SLAVENS was born 29 June 1870 in Scioto County, Ohio. He died 15 June 1952 in Jackson County, Ohio at age 81, and was buried in Fairmount Cemetery, Lick Township, Jackson County. Charles married 30 April 1893 in Jackson County Cora Abigail DEVER, born 15 June 1874 and died 18 October 1974 at age 100, who was the daughter of Warren L. and Margaret A. (Stockham) Dever. The couple had children Samuel J., born 24 December 1894 and died in December 1981 in Michigan at age 87, who married Ruth L. SENFF 17 June 1920 in Wayne County, Michigan; Margaret D., born 5 May 1904 and died 22 July 1970 in Jackson County at age 66, who never married; and Marion D., born 6 November 1910 and died in July 1977 in Ohio at age 66, who married Maxine BRUNTON 6 September 1941.

     There were no known children of Margaret A.5 Gilliland and Francis Marion Dever.

 

     188.  William Stanley5 MCCORKLE (Letitia Lord4 Krouskop, Jacob3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 1 January 1866 in Richland County, Wisconsin and died there 29 November 1943 at age 77. He was buried in Richland Cemetery, Richland County. William was an attorney and a county probate judge.

     On 15 October 1901 in Portage County, Wisconsin William married Edna S. SMITH, the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Een) Smith, who was born 8 January 1875 in Wisconsin. She died 28 April 1959 in Richland County at age 84, and was buried in Richland Cemetery.

     Known child of William Stanley5 MCCORKLE and Edna S. SMITH was:

               369       i.    William Smith6 MCCORKLE was born 24 August 1903 in Richland County, Wisconsin and married Mary NOBLE 3 April 1937 in Wisconsin. He died 18 March 1957 in the state at age 53, and was buried in Richland Cemetery, Richland County. Mary was born 22 August 1911 in Green Bay, Brown County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Walter C. and Helen (Briggs) Noble, and died 1 August 1998 in Wisconsin at age 86. She was buried in Richland Cemetery.

 

     192.  Charles Leroy5 MCCOLLUM (Eliza Seaman4 Krouskop, Jacob3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 28 February 1865 in Sextonville, Richland County, Wisconsin. He died 19 March 1955 in San Diego County, California at age 90, and was buried in Sextonville Cemetery, Richland County.

     Charles started the first grocery store in Twin Bluffs, Richland County and was appointed the second postmaster. In 1886 he was appointed the railroad station master for Twin Bluffs and sold his grocery store to his brother Elmer. On 6 February 1889 in Springfield, Greene County, Missouri Charles married Maude I. MCCONNELL, the daughter of William S. and Caroline (Burton) McConnell, who was born 13 December 1867 in Cassville, Barry County, Missouri. She and Charles took their wedding trip to Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida to attend the first annual convention of the International Association of Ticket Agents of which he was a charter member. In 1894 Charles was transferred by the railroad company to Prairie du Sac, Sauk County, Wisconsin where he was an agent for seven years. In 1901 he became ill and moved to Vivian Township, Lyman County , South Dakota. Charles was hired as station master in Vivian in 1906, and held that position until his retirement in June 1937.

     Maude died 24 June 1924 in South Dakota at age 56, and was buried in Sextonville Cemetery.

     Known children of Charles Leroy5 MCCOLLUM and Maude I. MCCONNELL were as follows:

               370       i.    Maude Ona6 MCCOLLUM was born 9 May 1891 in Wisconsin and died 21 July 1962 in San Diego, San Diego County, California at age 71. She was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in San Diego. Maude graduated from St. Mary's Academy, Prairie du Chien, Crawford County, Wisconsin in 1909 and taught school for three years, until her marriage 4 June 1913 to Howard Wilburn MCLARNAN, the son of Steven D. and Annie E. McLarnan. He was born in 1890 in Iowa. The couple lived on the Bar L Ranch, near Vivian, Lyman County, South Dakota until 1926, at which time they moved to New York City. They had a daughter Ruth Elizabeth, born 22 May 1914 on Bar L Ranch and died in March 1969 in San Diego at age 54, who married Myron LANGSTAFF 22 October 1938; and a daughter Mildred Ona, born 17 April 1917 on Bar L. Ranch and died 6 March 1993 in San Diego at age 75, who married Hugo B. STOLPE in June 1939. Howard died in 1958 at age 68 and was buried in Vivian Cemetery.

               371      ii.    Eliza Ruth MCCOLLUM was born in July 1894 in Wisconsin. She graduated from Aberdeen College in Aberdeen, Brown County, South Dakota and taught school for five years. During World War I she moved to Washington, D.C., and worked for the federal government. While there she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University. After the death of her mother Eliza returned to Vivian, South Dakota where she lived with her father and became principal of the Vivian High School. In 1926, she moved to New York City. Eliza never married.

               372      iii.    Mary Elizabeth MCCOLLUM was born 18 October 1903 in Vivian Township, Lyman County, South Dakota and died 30 September 1934 in New York City, New York at age 30. Mary obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1924 from Aberdeen College in Brown County, South Dakota. She was principal at Bliss High School, Idaho until 1926, when she moved to New York. Mary worked for J. Hauser, Inc., until the depression forced the firm to suspend business. She then obtained a position with the city relief administration where it was her job to look after tenants who had been evicted from their homes. Mary never married.

 

     194.  Elmer Ellsworth5 MCCOLLUM (Eliza Seaman4 Krouskop, Jacob3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born 26 April 1870 in Richland County, Wisconsin. He died 29 November 1948 in that county at age 78, and was buried 1 December 1948 in Richland Center Cemetery, Richland County.

     In 1886 Elmer bought his brother Charles’ grocery in Twin Bluffs, Richland County. On 7 April 1908 he sold this business but continued as postmaster for Twin Bluffs until 1931, when he retired after 42 years service. In the 1940 federal census he, his wife and his widowed brother Charles were enumerated in Clearwater, Pinellas County, Florida where Elmer’s occupation was president of a state bank.

     On 20 May 1896 Elmer married Lelia P. PEASE, the daughter of Dexter E. and Fidelia Owen (Reed) Pease, who was born 1 August 1874 in Richland County. She died 12 November 1958 in that county at age 84, and was buried 14 November 1958 in Richland Center Cemetery.

               373       i.    Everett Elmer6 MCCOLLUM was born 21 October 1901 in Richland County, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He graduated from the Milwaukee Dental College in 1925 and opened a dental practice in Richland Center in Richland County. Everett married 15 February 1922 Helen F. HUFFMAN, the daughter of Samuel L., and Nora M. (Brewer) Huffman, who was born in 1902 in Wisconsin. She died in that state 16 December 1969 at age 67 and Everett died there 23 January 1984 at age 82. Both were buried in Richland Center Cemetery. The couple had a son James Leroy, born 20 January 1924 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin and died 3 April 1996 in Sextonville, Richland County at age 72; and a daughter Janet L.

 

     198.  James Marion5 WILKINS (Isaac M.4, Cynthia K.3 Krouskop, Johann George2, Johann Georg1), also known as Marion, was born 5 May 1871 in Logan County , Ohio. He died of a coronary embolism 16 April 1939 in Jefferson Township, Logan County at age 67, and was buried 18 April 1939 in Zanesfield Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Logan County, Ohio.

     On 2 June 1893 in Logan County James married Clara Josephine PARK who was born in June 1872 in Ohio. Also called Josephine, she died in 1948 in Logan County at age 72, and was buried in Zanesfield Cemetery.

     Known children of James Marion5 WILKINS and Clara Josephine PARK, all born in Jefferson Township, Logan County, Ohio, were as follows:

               374       i.    Robert Lee6 WILKINS was born 3 April 1899. He died 2 November 1958 in Ohio at age 59, and was buried in Zanesfield Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Logan County, Ohio. Robert married 19 October 1921 in Logan County Helen Deloris MOORE, the daughter of James M. and Laurabel (Curl) Moore. Born in 1903 in West Mansfield, Logan County, she died in 1986 at age 83, and was buried in Zanesfield Cemetery.

               375      ii.    Paul A. WILKINS was born in 1907 and died in 1961 in Ohio at age 54. He was buried in Zanesfield Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Logan County, Ohio. Paul married Freda Joy SHROYER who was born in 1908 in Union Township, Logan County, the daughter of Frank M. and Vilda J. (Detrick) Shroyer.

               376      iii.    Edith F. WILKINS was born in 1909.

 

     204.  Ernest E.5 KROUSKOP (George W.4, David3, Johann George2, Johann Georg1) was born circa 1871 in Colorado. He married first 23 June 1897 in Los Angeles County, California Mabel A. LAWS who was born 1 August 1873 in Boulder, Boulder County, Colorado, the daughter of William Harrison and Ida (Dow) Laws. The couple divorced around 1900 and Mabel married second Edward Nelsen Borg who was born circa 1863 in Denmark. Mabel was widowed by 1940 and died 2 April 1962 in Los Angeles County at age 88.

     Ernest married second Blanche I. MARSHALL in 1901. She was born in July 1876 in Illinois and was the daughter of Frank and Belle S. Marshall. In the 1900 federal census Blanche and parents were in Collinsville, Madison County, Illinois.

     Possible child of Ernest E.5 KROUSKOP and Mabel A. LAWS was:

               377       i.    Donovan Lionel6 KROUSKOP was born 10 December 1894 in California. Because of his birth date three years before the recorded marriage of Ernest and Mabel he was perhaps not the biological son of Ernest, but instead took his surname. The 1930 census gave Mabel’s age at first marriage as 18, which would mean she was married circa 1891, around six years before her marriage to Ernest. Record of that marriage has not been found. Donovan married Ruth STURGEON, the daughter of John D. and Gertrude Sturgeon, who was born in June 1893 in Nebraska. The couple divorced between 1920 and 1930. He died 6 November 1972 in Los Angeles County, California at age 77. Ruth married [--?--] Huddleston and died 5 January 1982 in Los Angeles at age 88.

     Known children of Ernest E.5 KROUSKOP and Blanche I. MARSHALL, all born in Larimer County, Colorado, were as follows:

               378       i.    Sylvia6 KROUSKOP was born 19 December 1902 and died 16 August 1944 in Ellensburg, Kittitas County, Washington at age 41. She was buried in Loveland Burial Park, Loveland, Larimer County, Colorado. Sylvia married Harry William WHITE who was born 15 September 1905. He died 9 April 1992 at age 86, and was buried in Edgar Cemetery, Edgar, Clay County, Nebraska. The couple divorced and Sylvia married second Charles MILLER. Sylvia and Harry had a son Harry William, Jr., born 20 September 1923 in Loveland and died 3 September 1964 in Grant County, Washington when his crop dusting plane collided with another. He was buried in I.O.O.F Cemetery in Kittitas County.

               379      ii.    Isabelle KROUSKOP was born circa 1906.

               380      iii.    Marjorie Blanche KROUSKOP was born circa 1907. She married Jacob Lee JOHNSON who was born 27 August 1893 in Evart, Osceola County, Michigan.

               381     iv.    George KROUSKOP was born in 1909 and may have died in Ireland in 1944.

               382      v.    Robert KROUSKOP was born 23 August 1911. He died in September 1986 in Kittitas County, Washington at age 75.

               383     vi.    Frank Lyman KROUSKOP was born 5 August 1913 and married Florence Louise LARSEN 30 December 1947 in Boulder, Boulder County, Colorado. He died 9 April 1982 in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington at age 68, and was buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Ellensburg, Kittitas County, Washington. Frank moved to Kittitas from Colorado in 1932 and was half owner of Krouskop Brothers Motor Inn Garage for 25 years. For seven years he was employed by the city of Kittitas as town marshall and superintendent of public works. He moved to Tacoma in 1968 and worked as electrical supervisor for the Milwaukee Railroad until retiring in 1979. His wife Florence was born 20 April 1920 in Ellensburg, Kittitas County. She died 21 June 2007 in Tacoma at age 87, and was buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

 

     221.  George Dunton5 WIDENER (Peter Arrell Brown4, Sarah3 Fulmer, Anna Maria2 Krouskop, Johann Georg1) was born 10 June 1861 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania and married Eleanor ELKINS 1 November 1883 in Philadelphia. He died 15 April 1912 at age 50 on the Titanic’s maiden voyage, along with his eldest son Harry. George’s wife Eleanor and maid were put on a lifeboat and rescued by the RMS Carpathia. A memorial service was held for George and his son at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Philadelphia and stain glass windows were dedicated to their memory.

     George joined his father's business and eventually took over the running of the Philadelphia Traction Company and oversaw the development of cable and electric car operations across the United States. He also served on the board of directors of several businesses and was director of the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts.

     Eleanor was born 21 September 1861 in Philadelphia and was the daughter of William Lukens and Maria Louise (Broomall) Elkins. Her father and father-in-law were business partners. After George’s death she married Alexander Hamilton Rice 28 August 1915. She died 13 July 1937 in Paris, France at age 75.

     Known children of George Dunton5 WIDENER and Eleanor ELKINS, all born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, were as follows:

               384       i.    Harry Elkins6 WIDENER was born 3 January 1885. He died onboard the Titanic 12 April 1915 at age 30.

               385      ii.    George Dunton WIDENER, Jr., was born 11 March 1889 and died 8 December 1971 at age 82 at his Erdenheim Farm estate in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He was buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia. George married Jessie SLOAN, the daughter of millionaire Henry Sloane and his wife Jessie (Robbins) Sloane, 20 March 1917 in New York City, New York. Jessie was recently divorced from her first husband William Earl Dodge. She died 11 March 1968 in Florida at age 84, and was buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery. The couple had no children. George was a businessman and thoroughbred race horse owner. He was one of only four people in the history of American thoroughbred horse racing at the time to be named an "Exemplar of Racing" by the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine’s George D. Widener Hospital for Large Animals is named in his honor.

               386      iii.    Eleanor WIDENER was born 10 April 1891 and died circa 1965 at her home in the Chestnut Hill area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She married Fitz Eugene DIXON, Sr., 19 June 1912 in Philadelphia. He was born 12 January 1888 in that city, the son of Thomas Henry and Florence Dixon, and died in December 1982 in Pennsylvania at age 94. Fitz was a banker and Davis Cup captain. The couple, who later divorced, had a daughter Eleanor, born in 1914 in Rhode Island, who married James C. GENTLE; and a son Fitz Eugene, Jr., born 14 August 1923 in Winter Harbor, Hancock County, Maine and died of melanoma 2 August 2006 in Erdenheim Farm, Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, who married Edith B. ROBB in 1952.

 

     222.  Joseph Early5 WIDENER (Peter Arrell Brown4, Sarah3 Fulmer, Anna Maria2 Krouskop, Johann Georg1) was born 19 August 1871 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Joseph attended Harvard and for a short time studied architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a wealthy American art collector who was a founding benefactor of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and a major figure in thoroughbred horse racing as owner of Elmendorf Farm in Lexington, Kentucky, head of New York's Belmont Park, and builder of Hialeah Park racetrack in Miami, Florida. Joseph died 26 October 1943 in Elkins Park, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania at age 72, and was buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia.

     On 27 March 1894 in Pennsylvania Joseph married Eleanor Holmes PANCOAST, the daughter of Albert and Rebecca Emily (Thomas) Pancoast, who was born 27 April 1874 in that state. She died 4 March 1929 at age 54.

               388      ii.    Josephine Pancoast WIDENER was born 22 August 1902 in Rhode Island and died 6 March 1961 in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida at age 58. She was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, West Palm Beach. Josephine, who went by the name of Fifi, married four times: Carter Randolph LEIDY on 29 January 1920 in Knoxville, Tennessee who she divorced in 1926; Milton W. HOLDEN on 2 December 1926 in her parent's home at Lynnewood Hall, who she divorced in 1932; Aksel Charles Prebeu WICHFIELD of Denmark on 11 January 1933 in Reno, Nevada, who she divorced in 1951; and Anson A. BIGELOW on 4 July 1954 in her West Palm Beach home.
